PURPOSE: Under the leadership and direction of the Nightforce Product Development Group Leader, this position will generate engineering documents through the creation of 2-D and 3-D models, manufacturing drawings, Engineering Change Orders and work instructions.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • High school diploma, required
  • Associates or Bachelors in CAD, preferred
  • At least two years of proven experience in a similar role, required
  • Preference will be given to individuals with experience using Autodesk Inventor
  • Must be proficient in 2-D and 3-D CAD
  • Experience applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerencing (GD&T), preferred
  • Must have a high degree of mechanical aptitude and proficient math skills
  • Must have experience in reading and analyzing 2-D prints
  • Must have a good working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to keep accurate records
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently
  • Must have positive attitude and be highly motivated
  • Must have a high regard for confidentiality

Core Accountabilities

  • Generate clear, complete, and accurate 3-D models and 2-D drawings for individual components and assemblies, including bills of materials
  • Review and certify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to the Nightforce drafting and design standards
  • Assist in the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
  • Assist in other related duties, as assigned
